Update

The Observatory can accommodate up to 9 people in two dormitories, you need to bring your own sleeping bags and it is self-catering. As well as Birdwatchers, we welcome people from many areas of interest including Moths, Butterflies, Bugs and Beetles or just a general interest in Nature and the local environment. Please forward any Dungeness recording area records to the Warden.

26th Nov

There was a small arrival of migrants in the bushes this morning with a Woodcock, two Snipe, 20 Chiffchaffs, nine Firecrests, 37 Goldcrests, two Fieldfares, a Redwing and two Song Thrushes of note. In addition, 40 Stock Doves, 730 Starlings, 16 Chaffinches, five Redpolls and 13 Siskins  passed overhead. 

A Brown Hare was seen.
