You will have the opportunity to experience bird ringing and identification in the hand, daily census work, seawatching, data management, assisting with the public and some site maintenance. You will receive free training and accommodation, but may be asked to contribute subject to successful applications to the YBOV scheme. Days can start from as early as 5.00 am and go through till 9.00pm depending on the weather, birds or necessary activities. You will also get the chance to assist in the recording and identification of a wide range of other natural history areas such as moth trapping, flowers, lepidoptera, hemoptera and funghi.
