Update

The Observatory can accommodate up to 9 people in two dormitories, you need to bring your own sleeping bags and it is self-catering. As well as Birdwatchers, we welcome people from many areas of interest including Moths, Butterflies, Bugs and Beetles or just a general interest in Nature and the local environment. Please forward any Dungeness recording area records to the Warden.

5th Aug

Another very quiet morning. A handful of Willow Warblers were found, three migrant Wheatears arrived and a Grey Wagtail was seen at the water treatment unit inside the power station.
A Mediterranean Gull, two juvenile Yellow-legged Gulls and 45 Common Terns were feeding at the Patch.

A Lesser Emperor dragonfly was  seen on the southern Long Pits along with two Small Red-eyed Damselflies. A Holly Blue was seen in the trapping area.
