Update

The Observatory can accommodate up to 9 people in two dormitories, you need to bring your own sleeping bags and it is self-catering. As well as Birdwatchers, we welcome people from many areas of interest including Moths, Butterflies, Bugs and Beetles or just a general interest in Nature and the local environment. Please forward any Dungeness recording area records to the Warden.

12th Aug

There were a few grounded migrants around the Point including 13 Willow Warblers, 14 Reed Warblers, a Garden Warbler, 15 Lesser Whitethroats and two Pied Flycatchers. There was also a bit of wader passage with 20 Curlew, two Green Sandpipers and three Greenshanks overhead and 700 Sandwich Terns were feeding and roosting offshore. Five Buzzards also flew over. 

Fourteen Porpoises and two Grey Seals were feeding offshore.
