The
first apparent migrant Chiffchaff was seen
in the moat and three Chaffinches arrived.
It was very quiet at sea with just 21 Brent
Geese and 12 Eider east and 200 Great
Crested Grebes feeding offshore. Large numbers
of gulls at the Patch included a first winter Yellow-legged
Gull and there were 54 Turnstones on
the beach at the fishing boats. The male Stonechat
was singing near the Observatory. |
