Fauna
Mammals
Rabbits and Foxes are seen on most days throughout the year. Stoats and Weasels are less frequently seen. Both Pigmy and Common Shrews are present along with Wood Mouse. Bats are occasionally seen but rarely identified to species. Most of the more interesting mammal records involve marine animals.

July 30th A nearly flat sea this evening revealed at least 20 Porpoises and a Grey Seal feeding close inshore. A Brown Hare was also seen on the Point. 
July 29th At least seven Porpoises were feeding close inshore throughout the day and a Hare was seen in the Desert.
July 28th At least nine Porpoises were feeding close inshore throughout the day.

In addition, although sightings of Stoat are almost daily and do not normally merit a mention, today we witnessed an adult (presumably female?) moving its litter of six young to a new burrow.

The storms have brought a large deposit of sealife on to the beach with thousands of starfish, various shellfish, crabs and lobsters and even a few fish being washed up.
